[Gaviidae]

I’m creating a site for a friend and I’ve disabled many of the sections on the landing page. This site will have no Posts – only Pages some of which will have his product catalogs for his fiberglass business.

My issue is that I have a search box appearing above the footer area and below the last text area (which is a gallery). I’ve looked all over trying to find out where this section is pulling from. Any suggestions?

This is just a test site for the moment.

That is WordPress’ placeholder content when the site has no posts available. It can be disabled by changing the general Reading options to display a static page on the homepage.

Thanks Zed – that gave me what I needed to fix it – created one blog with some general information about the company. Search gone – yay!
