I am using parabola theme and have added a custom menu to right sidebar at the moment. I am trying to no avail to make a right sidebar menu. I would like to add pages there that I do NOT want on the top menu. The only option I get is to add the header menus items. I do not want the header menu on in the right sidebar menu. This is the first time I have used parabola and find it a bit restraining on some things. If I can get some help, I would really appreciate it.

Menu functionality is part of WordPress not the themes.
You can define your menu (and menu items) under Appearance > Menus, then you assign it to a menu widget placed in the right sidebar (make sure you are using a theme layout where the right sidebar is visible – keep in mind the sidebars are never visible on the theme’s presentation page)
