I love Tempera, but the one thing that has been endlessly confusing are the Presentation Page Columns and Cryout Column Widgets.

The Presentation Page Columns can do some dynamic content, but it is limited to one category/type at a time.
The Cryout Column Widgets seem to only be a link with a static image?

What I would like: 3-4 columns of Recent Posts from different categories
Column 1 – 2 categories
Column 2 – 2 categories
Column 3 – 1 category
Column 4 – Recent posts

Am I right in assuming that this cannot be currently accomplished with default Tempera?

I tried adding widgets from to the Presentation Page Columns, but obviously that didn’t work (the widgets were stacked on top of each other rather than in their own columns).

Is my only solution to create a child theme and edit the presentation page?

How to edit the pictures and texts in the Presentation Page. I have the same problem like Ann that i could not find a place to change the Presentation Page pictures. In my Appearance>Tempera setting>Presentation Page, there are Colum Content, Column per row, Image size and Read more text Options only. There are no option for me to change the pictures there.

You add content to the presentation page columns in the widgets section under Presentation Page Columns. It’s all drag and drop just like a normal widget.
