When I upload an image, it appears the theme automatically creates multiple copies of the image in various sizes, e.g.
/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/2015-cover-768×468.jpg
/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/2015-cover-50×30.jpg
/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/2015-cover-150×91.jpg
/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/2015-cover-1000×300.jpg
/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/2015-cover-246×150.jpg
/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/2015-cover-308×201.jpg
/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/2015-cover-400×244.jpg
/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/2015-cover-1000×250.jpg
/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/2015-cover.jpgThe 400×244 one is the only one I need, and that’s generated by WordPress. How do I prevent the theme from creating all the unnecessary ones? I haven’t been able to locate the add_image_size calls in the function.
Someone asked about this back in 2013:

and was advised it would be looked into, but there doesn’t appear to have been any follow up.Thanks in advance!

The code for them is located in the includes/theme-setup.php file.If you like our creations, help us share by rating them on WordPress.org.
Please check the available documentation and search the forums before starting a topic.February 11th, 2018 at 08:36 #59676Perfect, thanks. Commented the add_image_size lines out in includes/theme-setup.php, and good to go. Appreciate the quick response!
