In our instance of Parabola, if there is an image with a title that hover above it, both the h3 tag and img alt attribute are generated by the title field in the Presentation Page column setting.

Parabola needs to offer two separate fields: one for image alt text and one for heading text. (or alt text is grabbed from alt text field in Media library, if available). The heading text doesn’t make sense as the image’s description, but other than recoding the theme, it doesn’t look possible for a user to adjust the alt text without changing the h3 text as well.
