Hi, after activating the plugin Custom Facebook Feed I get this message from Mantra:
“If this message remains visible after the page has loaded then there is a problem with your WordPress jQuery library. This can have several causes, including incompatible plugins. The Mantra Settings page cannot function without jQuery. You need to fix this issue before you can configure Mantra.”
Is this an known issue and/or is there anything I can do to make it work?
Thanks, Karin

November 5th, 2013 at 20:34 #13422ZedCryout Creations mastermindThat’s because those plugins most likely break WordPress’ jQuery library, which Matra relies on to function.
You have 3 choices: don’t use the plugin, don’t use the theme, or ask the plugin author to adhere to WordPress rules and use the bundled jQuery instead of loading its own older/incompatible version.

Ok, I understand alla plugins and themes are not compatible with each other. But I also have this problem with Jetpack, and that’s a plugin I’ve seen you recommend in this forum. Therefore I wonder – could it be something else wrong?
November 17th, 2013 at 12:47 #13662ZedCryout Creations mastermindWhat is the problem with Jetpack?
I use it on 3 separate sites and never had issues with it and neither Mantra nor Parabola. If you like our creations, help us share by rating them on WordPress.org.

Jetpack used to work fine before, but suddenly it won’t any longer and I’ve tried to deactvate other plugins and so on, but haven’t been able to figure it out that way.
When I try to activate Jetpack, it seems like the whole admin panel crashes. The page (…/wp-admin/plugins.php?activate=true&plugin_status=all&paged=1&s=) turns totally blank and there is no way to re-access the admin panel other than to delete Jetpack from the folder directly on the server.
These are the other plugins activated on my page: Google Analytics, NextCellent Gallery, Section Page, Under Construction, Widgets Controller.
Kindest rgds, Karin

Will the site look exactly the same after such a swap? ๐ (Of course, I take backups on both the Mantra settings and via the WordPress export function before doing suchs things).
Thanks a lot for helping me!
November 24th, 2013 at 13:21 #13968ZedCryout Creations mastermindYou can switch through as many themes as you want. Theme settings are independently saved, and as long as you don’t start changing other stuff (like widgets, menus) you’ll see exactly what you left when you return to a previously used theme.

I tried to switch themes and then the activation was ok! However, when I connected Jetpack to my wordpress.com-account, the same thing happened again, the Admin panel turned into a blank page ๐ Darned, I really liked Jetpack’s features when it used to work on the site. Thanks for trying to help me out ๐
November 29th, 2013 at 21:45 #14110ZedCryout Creations mastermindYou should check your server log for an actual error related to that blank page.
Out of memory could be a cause… but the log should provide the answer. If you like our creations, help us share by rating them on WordPress.org.
