Older Posts Don't Update When I Change Site Settings

I just started a blog and it only has two posts so far. When I only had the first post, there was a jetpack email subscription widget in the sidebar. Since that post, I have removed the jetpack widget and replaced it with a convertkit subscription widget. On the home page and on my newer post, the correct widget appears. But the first post still has the old subscription form showing up. The “customize” settings are all set correctly, and it looks correct on the back end of my blog. But the actual website is showing the wrong stuff. The old post also still shows buttons underneath the comment section that allow someone to follow new posts or new comments, even though I have removed this option in the settings.

Sounds like your site is using some form of caching (like a caching plugin). If you do use a caching plugin, use its functionality to clear the cache after structural changes.
If it’s your server that provides the caching functionality, you may or may not have a way of force refreshing it.
