Good afternoon Cryout Creations.

First off, thank you for such an amazing new theme! I am still tinkering with it, but so far I love it.

Just one problem . . With “Two Columns, Sidebar on Right” selected in the layout options, there is no sidebar! My main content column is only 800px wide, as though there is a sidebar there, but as of right now, the right sidebar is not showing up! It shows up if I choose “Two Columns, sidebar on left”, but it does not show up with my current choice.

I played with custom-styles.php to make the header background transparent, but even before I modified that one piece of that file, my right sidebar was not showing up.

I’ve tested it in Firefox, Chrome, and Safari on my iPhone.

Thank you for all that you do at Cryout Creations! I am a new “customer”, and I will be sure to buy you a cup of coffee in the very near future!

Did you add widgets to the right sidebar as well?

Unlike Mantra (if you’ve previously used it), in Parabola the right sidebar is always the right sidebar, and left sidebar is always left. When using only one sidebar layouts, the widgets don’t get moved over.

The header should become transparent by simply leaving the background colour field empty (this trick works even in Mantra on all background colours). There’s no need to edit files for this.

Thank you for your reply Zed and thank you for helping me fix this issue! I was using Mantra for the first day of my website (I literally just started this site), and I am brand new to WordPress (I’ve developed multiple sites “by hand” using HTML 1.0 Transitional, and more recently, HTML5).

I’m slowly understand how all of this works. Thanks to Cryout Creations for making such amazing themes with an incredible level of customization!

I love this Theme! But i have this same issue where the sidebar widgets do not appear. I have tried -Zed “The header should become transparent by simply leaving the background colour field empty (this trick works even in Mantra on all background colours). Hi Guys,
I’m using WordPress for the first time and I use the Parabola theme (i really like the slider on the presentation page/homepage).
I have a blog, and I want my readers to be able to click on ‘previous page’ and ‘next page’, so they can have a look around. But this doesn’t show up on my blog (my blog is not online yet, just local). I added a plugin called “WP-PageNavi” but the previous and next button doesn’t show up. Can anyone help me out?

Then I have another problem: on my homepage (where al my blogposts will be shown), i want a left sidebar with, for example, a ‘categories’ widget. I have installed this, but it’ll be only show up at the other menu pages, but not on the presentation page/homepage. Does anyone know how i can fix it?

I’m sorry, my English is not very good 🙂

The presentation page does not display the sidebar(s).
