Nirvana stubbornly refuses to display the featured image both in posts and pages. Initially all went well and featured images were shown. After some playing around with dverse settings Nirvana stopped showing featured images. When I acrivate Kahuna, e.g. featurded images are shown. Any idea?

ok, found it by myself. Hope this is of help for those who run into the same f*****g issue: You have to
1. deactivate the header picture in customizer (“header-image”)
2. publish
3. Re-insert a header

Nirvana displays featured images in posts lists (blog, categories, archives, search results). It does not display the featured images in single views (single post or single page).

If you’re looking to display the featured image in the header in single views, check that the appropriate option (under the theme’s Featured Image options section) is enabled.
