February 9th, 2014 at 00:03 #21791RadekI have the same problem.
February 10th, 2014 at 21:45 #21864Christina G.Have you tried the wordpress qTranslate plugin? It uses it’s own shortcodes to separate the languages. You can use the shortcodes anywhere you can write text. Example: <!–:en–>Hello<!–:–><!–:fr–>Bonjour<!–:–> When the the English site is selected, you will only see “hello” when the french site is selected you will only see “Bonjour”. It is very easy to use, and has a ton of languages.
February 16th, 2014 at 12:13 #22351Marcus G.I have just installed qTranslate. Generally I love it but I have a hard time to
a) use the widget. I cannot place it in the place I want it to be (right upper corner).
b) translate “Site Title” and “Tag Line” using the suggestions from Christina and other people on the web, I will not get the expected result. I will only see all languages in one line…Since the widget didn’t work for me, I added a code line in the style.css and in header.php
Hope there can be a solution…
Did somebody try to translate text in the tempera settings? Does it work for you?
February 16th, 2014 at 18:00 #22369CamiloHi, about B
In order to translate titles, and individual lines you have to write the foolowing code “[:en]”
For example, if you want to translate “my name is Camilo” in english and spanish you should write:
“[:en]My name is Camilo [:es]Mi nombre es camilo” (without the quotes) You have to change the two letters according to the languages you have chosen. It should work. Look at my site: http://www.camilomorenokuratomi.comHope it helps
February 17th, 2014 at 13:49 #22937Marcus G.Hi Camilo,
thanks for the tip. It worked. I tried it before but didn’t work. I guess it was a problem with a refresh which didn’t work. …maybe my browser.
Have a great day!
July 4th, 2014 at 15:00 #25995JoséHello,
I’m using the amazing tempera theme. I’m able to translate almost everything with qtranslate and the tips that you gave above.
The only part that is giving me problems is the slides links of the presentation page. Using tempera setting (custom slides) and the quick tags ( [:lang] or <!–:lang–> )I’m not able to set different links to redirect the user to the respective language. My question: is it possible to “translate” presentation slides links? -
