How do I affect change (colour, movement, behaviour) of the black block animation that slides in from left/top/right/bottom while hovering over the post thumbnail? CSS code?

The color is the same as the theme’s first accent color (configurable in the theme’s Color options). The effect is not directly configurable and for CSS I’d need to be able to browse the site and know exactly which elements you’re looking to change.
