I have a site with categorized pages. These are controlled by the category.php template file. However, I experience that the cryout_main_hook() does not invoke the top-menu bar. You can see the current result here: http://www.oedemarksnedker.dk/ekspertise/ where the top menu bar is gone, in comparison with the remaining pages on the site, where the menu appears as expected.

Does anyone have an answer to this strange behavior?

Supplementary information:

Apparently the issue concerns the usage of custom menues. If I use the default menu in my primary navigation bar, the menu is displayed.

However, I need the customized menu and thus would appreciate a soulution (if any) for the problem.

Seems as if a lot of people struggle with this problem (see http://wordpress.org/support/topic/wp-nav-menu-dissapears-in-category-pages-1?replies=21).

However, none of them are using the function cryout_main_hook() to create the menu. Does anyone have an idea as how to incorporate the solutions mentioned in the link into the cryout_main_hook() function?

I am having the same issue… this bug is quite troubling to me. I’ve only got one menu (“Main Menu”) and it’s not ‘custom’ in any fancy way.

IS there an ETA on fixing this bug?

Well, Nyborg tried three times to get someone to address this problem… I guess I’ll try a third time as well.

Start the debug process by disabling any plugins you may be using to rule out interference from them.
If the problem still occurs then, let us know.
