Hi, I’m working on a site in a test environment ie http://www.sdc-hr.com/test/, I asked my hosts to make the site live so it is now http://www.sdc-hr.com and I have lost all settings within the theme, from the fonts, colours etc to the custom CSS. HELP PLEASE!

Just to add, the hosts say it is a theme issue and when they made the site live for me all was lost. We have made a temporary fix but I need to sort this out. This was the comment “There will be values within the database that aren’t changing correctly in the theme’s options. As we haven’t developed the site it’s hard for us to say why this is happening. All that happens is when we follow the WordPress guidance for site moves it breaks these values.”

This sounds to me like your host has done a fresh install of WordPress & the theme in the root folder, and not just copied over the complete file system/database

Moving a site is pretty simple as long as you follow the WordPress instructions & edit the relevant tables in the database to show the correct Home & Site URL. Even when you update WordPress/ Mantra the Custom CSS doesn’t get touched

Did you have a backup of the file system/database before the move?
