The Verbosa Demo shows the left sidebar layout with two columns of posts, but that two-column wide “Learn More” item at the top. How do I do that?

That would be the “static slider” component of the newly introduced landing page feature. You’ll find the options to control Verbosa’s landing page functionality and content in the theme’s options. We also have a tutorial on this matter in the documentation page.
