Why the input data of the Slides Content is so powerfull (custom, latest post, random, etc…) and the columns of the presentation page are so poor? It have a lot of sense (at least for me) to show highlight posts from an special category in the columns while lefting the slides for staic content in pages, for instance…

I totally agree. I would love the Presentations category to be my 3 most recent posts.

The tempera theme has column customization that you are looking for…

My question is.. is it simple enough just to copy files over from one theme to the other to get the same functionality?
(probably not 🙁 )
