How to…. several questions

I have tried many WordPress programs, and your theme is the best, but I have several questions:

    – I can’t see the Comments section below Posts. How do I set it to show the Comments area?

    – How do I change the text size of the Title Text and Description Text on the Header?

    – How do I move the Description Text below the the Title Text?

    – How do I change the text size of Sidebar Text Headings (the headings show up in smaller text than the subheadings – that’s backwards)

    – Right top corner little profile icon says Howdy – how do I remove that?

    Thank you!

*I only have basic computer skills and I have no knowledge HTML or other programming codes.

    Hi Shirley,

    1. When you are adding or editing a post, look at the top right of screen.  You will notice a gray tab that says “Screen Options”.  Click on it to display a drop down menu.  There you can select the check box to display the comment section.  Once checked, scroll down while you are in the add/edit post to select comments.
    2. You can change the font size of the header and description text in the Mantra settings page under the Appearance sidebar tab.  From the Mantra settings page, select “Text Settings” to modify the font and size and “Color Settings” to modify the color.
    3. Are you wanting to move the Description text below the page title text?  If so, remove the description text from the settings “General Settings” tagline and add the text to the page.
    4. Change the text size in the Mantra settings page “Text Settings”.
    5. You will only see that when you are logged in as a registered user to the site.  Normal viewing will not see it.  If you do not want to see the toolbar when viewing the site, edit your user profile and uncheck the box for “Show toolbar when viewing site”.

    I hope that helps.

    Thanks Alex.

    1. OK,  I selected the Comments section under Screen Options, and in Edit Post selected Allow Comments under each post, but still no Comments sections showing up on the page.

    2. I did that but are there no separate size settings for the Title and the Description text?

    3. I don’t want the Description text on the page – I want it below the Title on the Header. I managed to move it by making the Title size setting big enough that the Description dropped from the same line to below the Title, so that will do.

    4. Maybe I wasn’t clear on this question – How do I change the text size of Sidebar Text Headings (the headings are showing up in smaller text than the subheadings – it should be the other way around). So how do I change the font size of the Sidebar Headings or at least Bold them?

    5. I like everything in the Toolbar showing except that Howdy. Do you mean by Registered User that only the administrator (me) can see it, because people become Registered Users if they become a subscriber.

Thank you again for your time.

    1. Check in the “Discussion” settings under the “Settings” sidebar tab and make sure that the “Allow people to post comments on new articles” box is checked.
    2. What is your website?
    3. ” “
    4. Under the “Text Settings” in the “Mantra Settings” are the sidebar font settings.
    5. Any registered user will see the toolbar.  Non-registered views will not see it.  But in each user’s profile you can turn the toolbar off.  As how to remove or change the “Howdy, username“, I do not know.  That is WordPress itself, not Mantra.

    3. Under the “Text Settings” in the “Mantra Settings” are the sidebar font settings. YES, BUT THERE IS ONLY ONE SETTING FOR BOTH SIDEBAR HEADINGS AND SUBHEADINGS.

Yes, I too would like to place the tagline under the site title and change the font. The settings have separate changes for site title and tagline color, but not text. I tried everything and nothing changed the text in the header. Help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Dan
