Using the editor – I can’t seem to find the php or css file that contains the footer message of: “Powered by Parabola & WordPress”
I checked the obvious location of the Footer.PHP file; however, I don’t see it there.
Where else would I be able to ammend this text?November 17th, 2013 at 13:49 #13696ZedCryout Creations mastermindThat’s our credit link and it’s the only thing we ask to be kept intact in return for our free work.

“Designed by 413webdesign using Parabola Theme & Powered by WordPress”December 7th, 2013 at 22:24 #14448SoulBill, looks like Zed’s response seems final. I too want to remove the “Powered by WordPress” cause it’s a target for spammers. This template over-rides two applications I installed to remove that footer tag line for security purposes on page and posts.
There’s an option to remove this credit line on the “Presentation page” via the theme admin page
> Click on the “Presentation Page” option
> Scroll down to the last item in this option to the “Hidden areas” option…
> Check the “Hide the footer (copyright area).
These steps remove the credit from the presentation (front) page only.
Zed, what’s the price (upgrade) to have this option applied to all pages / posts?
December 16th, 2013 at 13:37 #14748ZedCryout Creations mastermindBill, you can use the Custom Footer Text field in the theme settings to add your “website by” line.

I am using Parabola on my development site – great theme – and I am quite happy to have the copyright footer displayed. I am using a large full-screen background image, centred, not tiled, fixed. I have noticed that if the user selects a page on which there is not much text, causing the copyright footer to be displayed immediately, after viewing a page with enough text on it not to cause the copyright footer to be displayed unless you scroll down far enough, the whole display including the background image lurches slightly to one side. This is a bit disconcerting/untidy. Seems not to be browser related. Is this a bug or a “feature” ?
January 2nd, 2014 at 01:49 #15223sylviaHi David:
It might be as simple as using a 1px by 900px transparent gif. Insert it via html under your short text to artificially stretch the sheet/page.
If you don’t remember how, look up </img>
Good luck

January 12th, 2014 at 12:31 #15826ZedCryout Creations mastermindEleventh, your site will be a target for spammers no matter what the footer says. Spam bots don’t browse your site, they were programmed with the correct WordPress files URLs and post comments on your pages directly.

February 4th, 2014 at 23:21 #21538WebAdminYou know what Zed, you are a real dick! No one wants your Powered by text in the footer regardless of what you say and your attitude displayed here will keep me from purchasing any of your products. Your theme code is probably full of server hack code.
