I am trying to get a full width header on my website.

It worked once but I dont manage to make it happen again.

Do you have a numeric value for the width of a “full header”?
Upload a header image of that size and escape the cropping/resizing step.

Thank you for your reply.

In the Nirvana Settings – Header, the suggested width and height are respectively 1200 px and 150 px.
I created a 1200*150 image on Photoshop based on my current one but it does not work either… I still have white background on the left and right sides, as you can see on the home page…

What would you suggest ?

“Suggested” applies if you want to use the theme’s demo layout (where the header image is the same width as the content below).

If you’re looking to use a header image that extends beyond these limits you need to use a wider image (as wide as the widest monitor resolution you don’t want to see the white sides on). Respect the height, though, as extra height will not be visible.

Ok thank you for these details on the “suggested” size. What width would you then recommend for the Nirvana Theme ?
I tried different ones but still not working…

Use a header image as wide as desired (and possible) and skip the cropping step when applying it. This will make WordPress display it at its original size.
