Gutenberg & Tempera

We are currently testing what Gutenberg does with Tempera, and have already noticed a few things.

Does Cryout Creations test this yourself so we can continue to use Tempera?

Do you appreciate, when we share our so-called ‘bugs’ with you?

    Greetings

    Ann

So far we have done some preliminary tests with the development builds of the Gutenberg plugin and we have not encountered any site-breaking issues with the themes (just some minor styling hiccups with the gallery block which we’ll correct in upcoming updates).

We always appreciate bug reports, so if you noticed anything out-of-place while using Tempera with Gutenberg, please let us know.

Well here are some points we discovered:

1 – Gallery doesn’t adjust photos of different sizes, not even with different number of photos, should be photos of the same size. Did you mean that with gallery issues?

2 – Doesn’t show the number of sliders, it’s on the 8 last items, shows only 3, these 3 last posts made via Gutenberg, rest is existing content. Can this be done by importing settings and messages from the real site?

3 – Implement slider via Gutenberg, does not occur in slider view, can be related to point 2?

4 – Featured image / slider comes scaled down / not scaled above the articles, with the logo through it!

5 – 3 social media buttons out of context space.

If you want screen dumps please let us know.

    greetings

    Hello,

We know that you may have extra pressure from Gutenberg, but we are still having questions.

A temporary solution is to use both dashboards (old and new) side by side. This is only possible if you have NOT installed WP 5.0 yet.

We would like to update to WP 5.0 even though this is not a security update, it have to be done once.

Hope to hear from you soon.

    Sincerely

    Ann

    Hi,

Screenshots of (at least some) of the reported issues would be very helpful.
We are aware of some styling issues and have them tracked down already, but we didn’t observe during our tests all the things you mention.

If it’s easier, you can use the contact form to send us some screenshots. Just reference ‘Gutenberg’ and I’ll know what it’s about.

    Thank you for the information.

We’ve released an update today which addresses all the styling hiccups related to Gutenberg blocks which we’ve encountered in Tempera so far (mostly concerning images alignment, captions and lists).

If you find other issues or some are yet unresolved, please let us know so we look into them.

    Hi,
Is it possible that the Gutenberg blocks are wider in the visual editor? Thank you

After the Gutenberg reléase, the borders of the tables are displayed.

    Why?
