Using the new Gutenberg editor an author cannot create or edit a page or post attempts to save the work generates an error. The log file has the following three errors in the log file:

[24-Dec-2018 22:27:07 UTC] PHP Notice:  A non well formed numeric value encountered in /var/www/html/staging/wp-content/themes/kahuna-plus/includes/setup.php on line 191

Using WP’s classic editor everything works as expected. The site is still under initial development on a private host.

This issue is resolved in release 1.4.0.2

Hi…I’m having the same problem in 1.4.0.2. When I try to create a new page it is automatically saved as a post…wordpress verion 5.0.3. Unlaunched site with maintenance mode active.

Do things work if you temporarily switch to one of the default Twenty themes?
