I recently created a gallery slideshow with the basic built in wordpress gallery function. I have both landscape and portrait oriented pictures as part of the slide show.

It is noticeable that the whole slideshow box where the pictures are displayed is centered on the post page but the photos within the slideshow box are all aligned to the left, which becomes extremely noticeable when a portrait oriented picture shows up.

How can I center the images WITHIN the slideshow box?

Try this custom styling:

    margin: 0 auto;
}
