This is a strange one maybe you’ve seen before.
I have a post type “video” where I am testing youtube URL’s. When I post using featured image the featured image displays as the header background. Is this a feature that can be turned off?
I don’t notice in other posts with featured images.

Yes, that is a theme option which can be adjusted from the theme’s Featured Image Settings section.
