I’m a bit confused with the Featured Image settings in posts. Currently on my home page, the posts are set to show excerpts. Which is fine. If I set an image as “featured settings”, it shows in the excerpt – if i don’t set a “featured image” it doesn’t.
What I can’t work out is why my “featured images” are suddenly being cropped at a strange size. If you have a look at my site:
you’ll see that the first three posts have images that are cropped different to the images in the posts below them. The book cover ones are exactly how I like them. But the three above that are different sizes and different crops.
In my “featured images” settings, I have:
featured images as post thumbnails: enable
auto select images from posts: enable
thumb alignments: left
thumbnail size: 150 (px width) x 300 (px height) with ‘crop images to exact sizes’ NOT selected
featured images as header images: disable
Is there something there that I am misunderstanding?

It would be useful if you could provide us with login details to your site so we can investigate this further. Just use the premium support form and type in “feature image” in the transaction id field.

I wasn’t able to solve it, but I worked around it by using the “excerpt” box on the post page, so all my thumbnails on the excerpted post are showing the same size.
Thanks anyway. 😀
