Just started using your theme this weekend and everything is going well except I cannot seem to Import a Tempera Settings file. I am using Word Press Multisite (so that I can have different languages) and I modified the theme in the main domain and then I wanted to export the settings and import them in to the other domains ready for translation.

The settings file seems to export OK and I can look at the XML file and see my settings, but when I import it I get no error or confirmation that everything is OK, just switches back to the main Tempera settings menu but no changes occur.

Any ideas ?

OK – looking at the Export Text file, I can see that you are making explicit file references and so the file will only work as a “Backup” and cannot be used for transferring. Even changing the file references to the folder that I want to transfer the settings to does not appear to work, I will have to manually make all of the changes myself for each domain, not ideal but I can work with it.

The export data uses file references as WordPress saved them.
All the data is also serialized (as it was stored in the appropriate database entry by WordPress) so simply performing a search and replace will not work (serialized data also includes the lengths of strings, replacing just the string and not adjusting the length information will result in invalid data).
