\"enable magazine layout\" suddenly does single column

    I just realized my 2 column magazine layout on the “Post Excerpt” page is running single column and leaving a bunch of white space on the right side. It looks like the column is too large to have 2 of them side by side. But I have no idea how to change the dimensions of the columns? Help..
