Hi guys,
After changing the color of hyperlinks I experienced the addition of a previously non-existent “extra” social media icon in Tempera theme.
The icon is empty, displaying as a blank circle next to my properly formatted and displaying facebook and mail me icons.
The icon did not appear until I changed the text settings, the text for that icon in tempera settings is empty.
August 10th, 2015 at 21:47 #32527samiIn addition, attempting to add text to the remaining 2 social media icon options ( AS i have 3 currently working and the theme enables 5 ) results in all five social media icons appearing with whatever dummy text I added, then there is an extra blank circle again, for a total of six icons.
August 10th, 2015 at 21:55 #32528samiHi again,
It appears the issue is linked to adding a Html markup in the form of a hyperlink.
I added Follow us on Facebook <a/> to a text widget in the third footer area using the customizer. The extra blank social media footer icon appears immediately after the new input registers.
Delete the markup and it will dissapear.Using <br> does not cause any issues.

So recapping an earlier bug report.
Using the customizer to edit the text in a text widget located in the 3rd footer area of Tempera 1.3 generates an extra footer social media icon.
The icon is un-editable, contains no content, and if you max out the five total icons it will still appear as a sixth. The error occurs when adding a hyperlink to the text widget in order to link out to a facebook page.
This is what is used.<a href="https://www.facebook.com/winghamfarms">Follow us on Facebook <a/>
THe extra icon immediately appears if this hyperlink text is used in the text widget. It dissapears again if it is removed.
Using <br> causes no issues.I will most likely be able to solve this issue using a short code.
Thanks,
Sami
