August 2nd, 2013 at 16:49 #10237David SpakeI came looking for answers as to why my drop down menus stopped working with the updates to Mantra 2.0.7 and WP 3.6 that were out yesterday.

August 2nd, 2013 at 17:28 #10238David SpakeJust did more exploring – the auto generated menu import from standard WP doesn’t appear to link. But rebuilt using the Mantra Menu tool and found it to be more flexible and able to incorporate more items in my site as menu options.
August 2nd, 2013 at 17:53 #10240Buster KnuttzJust updated to WP 3.6 and Mantra 2.0.7, having same drop-down issue. So far everything else seems to work.

August 3rd, 2013 at 19:27 #10314MattMine isn’t working again. What do i do wrong? I installed the 3.6 WP Update and the Mantra v. 2.0.7.1, but my Sub-menu still doesn’t show up…. 🙁
August 3rd, 2013 at 23:11 #10318mtyaronI also update to Mantra v. 2.0.7.1, but my Sub-menu still doesn’t show up.
August 4th, 2013 at 12:00 #10342ZedCryout Creations mastermindIf the submenus still don’t work after the 2.0.7.1 update, check to see if you’re using any caching plugins (including CloudFlare services) and try to clear te cache. Also perform a force refresh (CTRL+F5 or CTRL+R) in your browser.

September 2nd, 2013 at 10:55 #11932MendimThe NextGEN Gallery cause this problem about dropdown menu,disable it clean the cache and check the menu will be fixed.
To fix this made the z-index: 9998} to the css of your themeJanuary 1st, 2014 at 10:50 #15192Gary OoSorry to drag this thread up again, but I’m experiencing the hidden sub-menu problem.
Please check my website. Hovering over “Travelling” should display multiple levels of sub-menus.
If I refresh the web page but before the web page finishes loading I can “see” that the sub menus are there, but when the web page finishes loading, they’re not displaying.
I’m not an expert with CSS but when I try and google the problem, it appears that the problem is a combination of the Mantra themes and the Nextgen wordpress plugin.
Sub menus weren’t working, then I upgraded to wordpress 3.8 and then they were working. I then did some editing to the website in that I tried to add a nextgen gallery to a webpage as well as tidying up dome gallery names in Nextgen, and now the sub menus have disappeared again.
My CSS knowledge isn’t good enought o decipher the cryptic comment above mine. Can anyone advise how I can rectify the conflict between the theme and the plugin?
February 3rd, 2014 at 02:17 #21162David BI’ve not had this problem but the suggestion was to add this code to the Custom CSS box on Mantras Settings, Misc.
z-index{9998}
I corrected the example syntax
This sets the stack order of the element to a large number so its not hidden. If you think of 3D geometry, z is in and out, the layers of the elements that overlap.Can’t believe all the spam that gets by the Captcha
