How do I increase the padding between the content and the content background?

Right now, the text sticks to either side of the background (I have it aligned as ‘justified’)

How do I increase the padding on either side to make it look a little presentable?

Are you using the theme in the boxed or wide layout? The boxed layout includes the necessary padding.
