Dear all,
I am just getting frustrated trying out Codex, a great child theme of Roseta:
Everything is configured (header image, pages, etc…) , but if I want to change the homepage settings from “last articles” to “static page”, choose the page and click on “save”, on the homepage the old sample header image, wrong text and all articles/pages in one single page is shown.
If you deactivate the page, everything is fine again. I tried with several pages, even created a new dummy test page to test the static homepage.
Nothing works!
So maybe this is a bug? Thanks and best regards
ThorstenP.S.: Just found out that breadcrumb navigation is also not working as it is not showing the complete path.

ok, while going through every single setting, I found the misconfiguration on my side!!
The “landing page” was enabled! Switched it off now everything is working.
But the issue with the bread rumb is still there.Best regards

thanks for your fast reply! When creating a menu with sub-menu items (all pages) not the complete path is shown in the headers breadcrumb navigation.
So for example you have a main menu with page “A” and there a sub-menu with page “A-1”.
If you now go to the homepage and choose “A” from the navigation, breadcrumb shows:
(“Home-Symbol” – A) , which is correct, but if you choose directly “A-1” from navigation, from my point of view the breadcrumb should show (“Home-Symbol” – A – A-1).
But it shows (“Home-Symbol” – A-1). 🙂
Is that maybe also a misconfiguration on my side? Or is it on purpose?Best regards
ThorstenDecember 20th, 2019 at 22:42 #96784ZedCryout Creations mastermindIs there a hierarchical relation between those pages (A being the parent page of A-1) or is that structure limited to the menu arrangement?

thanks for the hint, that was the problem: the hierarchical relation was missing!
Everything is fine. Just bought the Plus Theme. 😉Regards
