already tried:
a) resizing all images to 900×400 and setting image slider to 900×400
b) changing to new color scheme which worked for a moment and stopped
c) switching from latest posts to static posts and back again
d) adjusting layout width to be 1100x and slider 220 for a total of 1320
e) toggling magazine on and off
f) removing extra text

Note: I also see the jquery notice that I should not see every time I reload the page but I have turned off all plugins as well so…

The theme’s file responsible for the NivoSlider functionality seems to be missing: http://www.binetusa.org/wp-content/themes/tempera/js/nivo.slider.min.js?ver=1.6.1.2

Try deleting and reinstalling the theme.
