Hi there! Just taken over from a site that was set up 5 years+ ago and cannot access to edit the homepage. It was created with Cryout Serious Theme Settings and there is an outstanding plugin update but I’m afraid it might mess up the whole site as its been neglected for so long. How can I get it up to date again without risking losing the top slideshow header etc? The site is http://maxdundee.org.uk/

Hi,

Updating the Serious Settings plugin shouldn’t break anything on your site since it does very little and never touches the options themselves, which are handled only by the theme.

It is also worthy to note that the site is already using the current theme version so at least the theme was updated as some point in the last 2 years.
