The post images on the presentation page are blurred, but are sharp when you click through to post page.
Strangely enough, the video post images are sharp on the presentation page.
I installed a thumbnail regeneration plugin, but this made no diffrence so I uninstalled that plugin. Also, I would like to remove the opacity change on image mouseover.
Some people have complained about washed-out look on images.Any help appreciated.
Thank youFrancis

April 2nd, 2017 at 21:25 #43642ZedCryout Creations mastermindYour featured images were generated at about 150px width but are now displayed at 250px width so it looks like you’ve changed the theme’s featured image size values since the images were uploaded to the site.
You mention installing a thumbnail regeneration plugin, but do not mention using it to actually regenerate the thumbnails.
My personal choice is this plugin, which once installed will add a separate section under Tools from where you can trigger the images regeneration process.By the way, thanks for crediting our work.

On March 23 the feature image on my presentation was still clear. When I next went to write a post, the feature image on my presentation page was blurry, as was the next one on April 2.
I am at a loss to understand how this occurred. I had not updated any image-handling plugins, nor installed any. This just suddenly happened out of the blue.

April 7th, 2017 at 12:53 #43801ZedCryout Creations mastermind@bassicsax, your images appear large enough. Did you try regenerating the thumbnails?
You can also test with a single image to see if it resolves the blurriness. If you like our creations, help us share by rating them on WordPress.org.

In any event, I did install the plugin you suggest for re-generating thumbnails in my test site. http://bassic-sax.com/ Unfortunately there was no change. The old images are still clear, while the new ones I uploaded today are blurry. Regeneration did not help the situation.
Just wondering, could this be a php issue? I ask b/c I’m having an issue with an analytics plugin, and I found out my GD server is running an out-dated version of php (5.4)

May 8th, 2017 at 14:59 #44744ZedCryout Creations mastermind@bassicsax, what is your featured image size set to in the theme?

Oh, I should add that I had created a different test site before switched over my site to the new theme. The blurred images were a problem there as well. That site has since been removed from the server now that I’m done with it, but in total it’s 3 for 3 sites that this blurred images problem has appeared in.
Edit: on my test site I changed the image size to 500 x 318 (the 318 was not changeable), but it made no difference to the blurriness on the existing images on the presentation page. But the 2 new posts I did, had the images reduced in height (despite me increasing it from 201 to 500), but the blurriness was gone.
This of course still leaves the question, why did the theme not have an issue with dealing with my old posts and displaying my images correctly (I’m thinking of my actual production site here, that has over 2,000 posts http://bassic-sax.info/blog ) but has trouble dealing with images that are too tall–which appears to be the case.
