In reply to: How to…. several questions
Alex
Hi Shirley,
- When you are adding or editing a post, look at the top right of screen. You will notice a gray tab that says “Screen Options”. Click on it to display a drop down menu. There you can select the check box to display the comment section. Once checked, scroll down while you are in the add/edit post to select comments.
- You can change the font size of the header and description text in the Mantra settings page under the Appearance sidebar tab. From the Mantra settings page, select “Text Settings” to modify the font and size and “Color Settings” to modify the color.
- Are you wanting to move the Description text below the page title text? If so, remove the description text from the settings “General Settings” tagline and add the text to the page.
- Change the text size in the Mantra settings page “Text Settings”.
- You will only see that when you are logged in as a registered user to the site. Normal viewing will not see it. If you do not want to see the toolbar when viewing the site, edit your user profile and uncheck the box for “Show toolbar when viewing site”.
I hope that helps.

Hi
I’m using your module and is working very well except with the code
<?php
$number=”3″;
include(“/domains/aranzmaji.si/public_html/news/show_news.php”);
?>
when i reopen module, because news are not shown, i see the code
<!–?php
$number=”3″;
include(“/domains/aranzmaji.si/public_html/news/show_news.php”);
?–>
.. see the commented code? I tried the code on normal blank php page and it works well
Any idea?
Thank you very much

Oops, almost forgot. About that favicon.
I tried uploading an image from my computer that’s now also in the media library and it shows up where I’m doing that favicon insertion change from but then it doesn’t show after hitting ‘save changes’ etc.
I’ll keep looking around.
Thanks again!

Zed
Cryout Creations mastermindSupport for Google fonts was added in version 1.9. Are you using an even older version?
Right under the selector for the predefined fonts there’s the input field for the Google font names.
EDIT: I see you’re using 1.8.6. You’ll most likely need to use a plugin to apply Google fonts.

Zed
Cryout Creations mastermindI should let you know that the proper way to do this is via a child theme.
Your child theme will need 3 files:
- style.css (with the content documented in the WordPress tutorial)
- functions.php with the content below:
`<?php
require_once(dirname(__FILE__) . “/theme-frontpage.php”);
?>`- and the modified theme-frontpage.php file copied over from mantra/includes/ to the root of your child theme’s folder.
This will make sure you will not lose your change at the next update.

Cryout Creations mastermindHugo, we still don’t know what’s causing your issue (we believe it to be browser related, but we could never reproduce it on our computers), but it should be fixed (or at least prevented from breaking Mantra completely) in v2.0.2.

Zed
Cryout Creations mastermindMantra (and themes in general) doesn’t mess around with anything database related.
We have been using Mantra and WordPress on this website (and on the previous domain) since Mantra was created… and that was 2 years ago. Old comments are still readable and nothing changed.
Perhaps you had some comments related plugin that messed with those fields which you uninstalled/disabled in the meantime.

That is the original WP post and page after you install WP for the first time. Check your Reading Settings to see what your front page is set to. Look for those in posts and pages. Delete them if needed.
To verify what Facebook will thumbnail when you type in your web address in a post on fb, use this tool.

Alex
This is my Users Group website that is having the issue, http://www.tbvug.com. I’m at a lose why the slider is not working. It is currently set to custom slides. Slide 1 is defined and the links to image are verified, Slide 2 is original theme settings, the rest of the slides are blank. I’ve tried post, categories, still the slider just sits there with the loading circle.

Also…how do get my avatar to post on the site? Is that the flavicon?
I’ve tried but it doesn’t appear anywhere after uploading it to where it seems I should be trying to do so.
Thanks again!

Hi,
Love the theme so much i picked it for a clients site. How ever, I am haveing the same issue as described above: I can’t get the short codes to work in any way. On any page.
I tried installing a show-posts-shortcodes-plugin to be able to show some categories in my start page. How ever, that wont work either. On any page.
Any idéa when this will be available? Just need to know what to tell my client.
Great Theme though, keep up the gott work! =)
Cheers,
Tom

Tried all suggestions in FAQ D6. I never used version previos to 2.0. Also deleted all plug-ins. Re-installed WP. To no avail.
April 21st, 2013 at 17:59 #5326In reply to: Social Media Mail
Alex
I want to reopen this bug report. It has been fixed in 2.0.1 to put in “mailto:” but now, every time you click the save button, it keeps adding a “mailto:” regardless if the “mailto:” is already there. Since I have been working on my presentation page and clicking the save button several times, I now have 8 “mailto:” in front of my email address. So for the meantime I have just removed that social media icon to avoid having to delete all the “mailto:” in the field.

Is there some kind of trick to get the slider to work on the Presentation page? I have tried disabling all my plugins (5 in total). I have a standard installation of WP, no modifications except for what the plugin Better WP Security (v3.4.10) recommends. Everything else seems to be working ok.

Cryout Creations mastermindWell… that’s some weird behaviour. Did you upload all the images at once with the same thumbnail size settings or did you change the settings between image uploads?
It would be useful if you could provide us with login details to your site so we can investigate this further. Just use the premium support form and type in “feature image” in the transaction id field.

Thanks a lot Zed!!
I was able to add an image map but unfortunately the areas aren’t becoming links. I tried everything, using the id tag only (per HTML 5.0), and both (usemap and id). No change.
Any idea what can be wrong? Do you mind taking a look at the code?

Cryout Creations mastermindI have the craziest feeling that I’ve answered this question already 🙂
This custom CSS should do it:

Cryout Creations mastermindYou’ll find it right there in the Custom JS field.
You should also see it in the source of the website after saving it, so you can check out if it’s placed in the right place and does what it’s supposed to do.

Cryout Creations mastermindThanks for pointing that out. Separate
`.nivo-caption { font-size: SIZE; } `
for each mobile view size limit is the solution. We’ll add this in the next next update.
