Thanks for your continued help!
Where do I add that CSS ?
I tried it in the custom CSS field (where the text centre CSS from previous post goes) but it doesn’t seem to do anything. Do I need to edit a theme file or something?

OH, by the way. THANK YOU for a GREAT THEME”. This is a very versatile theme and have been recommending it for awhile to clients, friends and peers. A few tweaks like the Reply removal procedure would help greatly.
Keep up the good work.

I’m trying to remove the WordPress link from the footer as I have heard the link can attract hackers. I have had a few problems with them. I would also be able to add my own link such as powered by Mantra & innerHouse Designs. I tried to deactivate the function and then add a modified one in the child but it broke my site. I think it was resending the header or something.

Cryout Creations mastermindYou can’t replace files present in the includes folder by placing identically-named files in the child theme as well.
You have to override functions one-by-one in the child theme; some can be overriden by simply using the same function name in the child theme, other more fundamental functions need to be unhooked from the parent Mantra and replaced with their child version (otherwise things break).
You need to tell me which functions you are trying to replace for me to give you more detailed instructions…

Melissa
I have been looking at the css for @media print and wonder if there is something that needs to be changed there for the header to show up on the printout. I assume that has to be done under Mantra Settings/Misc Settings/Custom CSS.
What I found is that if I choose “Site Title and Description”, that will show up in the print preview, but if I choose Custom Header, it is blank. The site is http://www.esummarize.com.

I’m having the same issue. I’m using Mantra version 2.0.2 according to me settings page but can’t get the setting options to open. “Customize” doesn’t give me all the options I want. I’ve tried disabling all my plug ins but still nothing. Any ideas on how I can fix it?

No I have not changed anything in the Mantra files. I would not know how to do that. This is my first experience ever creating a website and I have only changed the things that I can change from the Settings pages.

I can see everything on my website on the mobile version except for the pictures. It seems that after I activated 4 subdomains and installed Mantra in each of those, the mobile feature stopped working. I also see the “Leave a Reply” section at the bottom of the mobile page, which is not even turned on in Mantra.
I am afraid to export and reinstall because I have 4 links to domains which I am afraid will be erased. What can I do?
Thank you

Cryout Creations mastermindOn a more serious note: to revert any changes made to the files, export Mantra’s settings, uninstall then reinstall the theme, import Mantra’s settings and you should be fine.

Well, I’ve emailed four or five times now – which is to say completed a support request, and used your contact page – and I’ve had no reply, having paid $25 and waited, and waited, and waited.
My first issue, I resolved myself in the end – by growing many grey hairs through age (that was the waiting for the response that never came) and in the end rolling up my short sleeves, and hacking the hell out of the site until I found what I needed to change, using no doubt very clunky code – the best I can do as an electrician. That was placing a video presenter on the front page in place of a fourth column.
The second issue was altering the footer text – where it says “Mantra – powered by WordPress” etc – frankly, I don’t want to make it easy on hackers knowing the site is built on WP. I have no issue crediting Cryout at all – and I take the view that although you offer the removal for the $25, it’s still you guys that put all the hours and almost as much coffee as I drink into building it. Fair’s fair. I do want to EDIT it though. Not yet solved.
My third issue, I discover, is that I am making heavy use of the presentation page – it suits what I am doing with my site, essential, in fact. On this point, Mantra beats the very much paid for theme we’ve been using the last two years. However, I also have a blog/News section. I cannot find a way to enable both the presentation page and have my blog posts show up on my “news” page. This is also critical as it’s driving my SEO and backlinking. Not Yet Solved.
I feel both of these are reasonable questions for $25 — paid for, as I say, around two weeks ago – and yet no response at all from anyone at Cryout. Very sure I cannot be the only one who would want both the presentation page, and a news page with my posts on it…..
Since I cannot seem to elicit a response from you guys at Cryout, perhaps you can email me – you can see my email adress in the log, I believe. Thank you.

Not looking good here I can’t even post a question that shows my own code, the bit that says lotus foot is where my img tag appears with the src, alt, width, height and class attributes specified. The class aligns it right and then my text just flows around it. I have not put either the image or text into any additional div tags.

First, I must say I love this theme! My latest site is the first using the Mantra theme and it is quite impressive. The only problem I have had is a similar logo issue. The header logo displays perfectly on any laptop/desktop, even when the browser window is re-sized to that of a smart phone. It also works perfectly to re-size the logo on an old droid phone and a Samsung tablet. However, on an iPhone or iPod, it displays a tiny distorted piece of the logo. On an iPad, it is fine in landscape, but the same distorted image in portrait. It would be nice to figure out this issue. Thanks for the wonderful theme!

Cryout Creations mastermindAny changes made directly to the theme’s files are lost on update. You should only do this via child themes…
Version 2.0.2 adds shortcode support for columns texts and the two fields below the columns, so if that’s where you were trying to add content, you should be able to do it via a widgets-as-shortcodes plugin plus Custom Text widget combination now.

Zed
Cryout Creations mastermindI think you are following WordPress.com hosted blogs instructions on a self-hosted WordPress blog. These rarely work as WordPress.com blogs include a lot more extensions that are not installed by default in self-hosted WordPress.
There is no “Pinterest Site Verification” field in WordPress. And Mantra has nothing to do with this.
Perhaps this will help.

- Check in the “Discussion” settings under the “Settings” sidebar tab and make sure that the “Allow people to post comments on new articles” box is checked. – YES, IT IS CHECKED.
- What is your website? http://www.travellittleknownplaces.com
- Under the “Text Settings” in the “Mantra Settings” are the sidebar font settings. YES, BUT THERE IS ONLY ONE SETTING FOR BOTH SIDEBAR HEADINGS AND SUBHEADINGS.
- Any registered user will see the toolbar. Non-registered views will not see it. But in each user’s profile you can turn the toolbar off. As how to remove or change the “Howdy, username“, I do not know. That is WordPress itself, not Mantra. OK, I WILL TALK TO WORDPRESS.

Because the setup is different for Worpress 3.5 “Add Media” button, I did not see the “align” drop-down option.
That seems to have fixed it.
Thank you for your help. I would not have bothered you with this, but the tech support people at Bluehost (our hosting service) believed it was theme related and not due to WordPress.
Thanks agan,
Mary
