Child themes implement design variations to the base theme that are more extensive than just options changes. All of the base theme's options and functionality are still available for future customization and tweaking.

The available child themes are published in the official WordPress.org themes repository.

The Plus themes includes the free edition's child themes as preset schemes. These can be used with a single click to apply a distinct visual look and default options set to the theme's functionality.
