Header Settings¶
Header Height¶
TE PA NI MA
Controls the header section's height (which holds the site title / logo and the header widget area). The value also applies to the general header image, when one is used and to generated featured header images (if the Featured Images as Header Images option is enabled)
Tip
Since version 4.5 WordPress allows skipping the crop step, resulting in the ability to use header images of any size. Featured images used in the header are always cropped.
Header Image¶
TE PA NI MA
Provides a button linking to WordPress' core Header Image functionality and two sub-options:
Center the header image horizontally¶
TE PA NI MA
This will force the header image to be centred horizontally (when it's narrower than the available space).
Keep header image aspect ratio / Force header image responsiveness¶
TE PA NI MA
By default the header has a minimum height set to accommodate the site title or custom logo. Enabling this option removes that minimum height and the header becomes fully responsive, scalling to any size.
Only enable this if you're not using a logo or site title and description in the header. Also make sure you have a header image uploaded.
Site Header¶
TE PA NI MA
Controls what is displayed in the theme's site title location. Possible options are:
Site Title and Description
will display the configured site title and tagline (set in WordPress' General Settings or Site Identity)Custom Logo
will display the assigned logo image (set below)Clickable Header Image
will plate a link pointing to the homepage on top of the header area or imageEmpty
will leave the respective area empty in the site header
Tip
The site title and tagline can also be disabled from WordPress' built-in options, available in the Site Identity panel. Those options take precedence over the theme's and will hide the elements regardless of the options set here.
Custom Logo Upload¶
TE PA NI MA
Provides the functionality to upload a custom logo image to be used in the header area.
Header Content Spacing¶
TE PA NI MA
Controls how the header content (site title or logo) is placed in the header by adjusting the top
or left
margins.
Do not use a large value for the left margin to attempt to center the content in the header as this will cause issues with responsiveness.
Rounded Menu Corners¶
MA
Controls the rounded corners style for main menu items.
Favicon Upload¶
TE PA NI MA
Provides the functionality to upload a favicon image to be used for the site.
Tip
WordPress now includes similar functionality via the Site Identity panel which we recommend to use instead.
Header Widget Width¶
TE PA NI
The header widget area is displayed on top of the header image. This options controls the header widget area width. Can be adjusted to 25%
, 33%
, 50%
, 60%
of the header width (equal to the site width).
