It was born 3 years ago. It took over Mantra and grew it to what it is today. It has lived a short but fruitful life and then it retired, spending its last year helping Cryout Creations expand it’s grip on the world.

Our latest theme – Tempera – has finally entered beta state and is ready for download. We’re counting on you guys to give it a try and let us know what you like and what you don’t like about it, what works and what doesn’t.

It may seem that Cryout Creations turned into a one man team lately, but the truth is that while Zed has been making update announcements and provided (some) support, Mr. Kay in true creative mind and spirit has been investing almost all time in constructing his latest masterpiece: the Tempera theme.
Currently in (almost) beta state, Tempera is a siamese twin of Parabola options wise but a wealthy distant cousin as features and functionality are concerned. With just a few more things to put into place, the Tempera theme should be released in the upcoming days.

So we’ve been busy bees today testing out modules and themes on OpenCart 1.5.6 (just 67 days after it was launched) and we’ve come up with some updates.
The modules work out-of-the-box with the latest version but we’ve updated some anyway. The themes (almost) always require compatibility updates.
Custom menus are advanced functionality for controlling the content of the menus built into Wordpress since version 3.0.
They are meant to be used when the auto-generated menus no longer suit the desired content/functionality of the site or when custom links / custom structures are needed.
Nothing is burning, nothing blew up, no zombie invasion, no reason to call 112.
The latest Parabola update drops in to solve the last outstanding issue “featured” in the 1.1.0 release and add three new options.

And it was 3 years ago when yours truly wrote his first ever WordPress post simply entitled “Zombie Apocalypse Theme”.
We’ll break the update posts streak with a quick ‘Happy Birthday’ that we’d like to say to ourselves on Cryout Creations’ sixth birthday.
