I’ve sized the slider in the presentation page to 1000×500 and all my featured images are sized the same. However, on a mobile device, the slider images get distorted when it updates.

Also, the other images in posts show up at different sizes on refresh on mobile.

You’re hosting your slider images with WordPress and they have a weird link.
We’ve got complaints about distorted images and broken animations on mobile devices and this happened only when images were hosted by WordPress servers.

We haven’t been able to figure out why this happens. As a workaround, try to host the slider images locally.

Thanks for the response. I’m setting the slider image by uploading the image to the media library and setting it as a featured image in my post. How to I host the slider image locally and call it as a featured image in my post?

Hi,

Would really appreciate your help on this. Our website is live and the featured images on mobile are distorted. How do we call the featured image from the local host if that’s the only solution. Are there any other options?

Figured it out .. deactivate photon in jetpack. It creates weird links http://i0.wp.com/actual link. Deactivating photon removes the i0.wp.com from the link and the slider issue is resolved
